New things, and things that will be new.

Hi people. So I finally did the light purple (they really won't be lavender until a couple more washes) streaks. I had myself convinced that everything within a five mile radius of the sink had to be covered in gobs of vaseline or the dye would magically turn it all purple, like, the instant I opened the bottle (I've been told I tend towards the histrionic). This did not happen, which was nice, but the vaseline made my hairline really damn greasy. Hence the very obviously greasy hair in the above photo. Notice the lavender wall? We painted that just for the snapshot. Joey and I are very dedicated to, um, matching the bedroom wall to my hair. Oh, and the nose ring is gonna stay for now. Just FYI. Because I know you were up all night toying with that conundrum.
So the second photo. That would be my next project. Joey and I are moving in a month-ish, and we are quite dedicated to the complete copycatting of that whole tableau. I don't remember what blog I found the photo on, so I can't credit it- sorry about that.
Goodnight, happy Tuesday!

  2. so into lavender hair. sometimes i wish my hair was as lovely and pale as yours just so i could dye it sweet shades of pastels. i have never dyed my hair so i don't think that is going to happen anytime soon, perhaps when i'm 80. for now i'll settle with crappy clip in extensions from ebay.
nothing wrong with copying living spaces. i would love some antlers too. and really digging that desk. the nose ring looks good on you, i like that i'ts small and not as noticeable. you should keep it.

  6. It came out really well- my technicolor hair is already gone. That didn't last long, haha. I like those antlers, shouldn't be hard to find at an antique mall of some sort.

  7. YESSSSS. Don't even take the nose ring out -- I think it looks remarkably subtle, actually! Perhaps this is because the lavender is such a sweet, pretty color.

  8. Yeah set one up! I think it's whatever, I was really opposed to using it for awhile because (let's be honest) there is something really corny about Twitter but now that I have it I do find myself using it.

  10. The purple streaks look lovely! I actually just dip died the ends of my hair dark purple as well, and it got all over the sink but thankfully it came off easily. However, it's already faded and now looks pink, oh well. Also, glad you're keeping the nose ring it looks lovely on you!

  13. love the hair! actually just tried to dye mine an extreme shade of purple in hopes of somewhat faded hair...but seeing how i just dyed it burgundy (on my already dark hair) it came out somewhat rasberry colored..which i've already done before. oh well, have to try again later i guess. and i love the nose ring- i wanted to do mine, but my husband wants me to keep the eyebrow piercing instead-we'll see who wins that battle, lol. and the room is awesome, been wanting some antlers myself :)
